What We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Seated:

Account information: your name and email address, provided when you sign up.

Guest list data: guest names, dietary requirements, groupings, relationships, and any notes you add to help plan your seating.

Payment information: processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details directly.

Why We Collect It

We use your data to provide the Seated service, process payments for Pro upgrades, and send essential service-related emails (such as account verification). We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

Third Parties

We share data with the following third-party services, each necessary to provide Seated:

Supabase -our database and authentication provider. Your account data and guest lists are stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure.

Stripe -our payment processor. Stripe handles all payment information securely and is PCI-compliant.

Google Analytics -we use anonymous analytics to understand how people use Seated and improve the product. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google.

Anthropic -our AI provider. When you use the AI seating assistant, your guest data (names, groupings, preferences) is sent to Anthropic to generate seating suggestions. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual guests at any time, and all your data is permanently deleted when you delete your account.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

Access -request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Rectification -correct any inaccurate personal data.

Erasure -request deletion of your personal data.

Portability -receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.

Withdraw consent -where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in) and Google Analytics cookies for anonymous usage tracking. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Data Sales

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. Ever.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure. If you become aware of a security issue, please contact us immediately at hello@seated.life.
